Meet our staff
Lamontico Melvin, M.Div. Senior Pastor
Born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Pastor Melvin is the second-born son of Mr. Shelton L. and Mrs. Margeline Melvin. Raised by his parents under Christian beliefs, Pastor Melvin began his Christian journey early in life at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and was baptized and taught under the pastorship of Dr. Carl E. Brinkley Jr.
Before his academic studies in religion and theology, Pastor Melvin attended grade school in Fayetteville, North Carolina, graduating from Seventy-First High School in 1997. During his time in grade school, Pastor Melvin had many accomplishments, including being lettered in football and wrestling and being named a two-year all-conference football inductee and the first 215-pound state wrestling champion in North Carolina. Though these were outstanding high school accomplishments, Pastor Melvin’s most significant accomplishment was meeting and marrying Aisha Bell, his high school sweetheart, now wife, and mother of his two beautiful children, Lamontico Jr. and Leila. Upon completing high school, Pastor Melvin earned a four-year football scholarship to Fayetteville State University, where he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Later, after accepting his call to Ministry, Pastor Melvin studied religion and theology in 2018 at the Regent University of Virginia. From here, Pastor Melvin graduated with a Master of Divinity and has recently been accepted into the Regent University PhD program, where he will specialize in Marketplace Ministry.
Aisha Melvin, M.ED. Children Church Leader (Bible Detectives)
Aisha Melvin has been a devoted servant of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a loving and dedicated wife for over 21 years. In partnership with her husband, she manages the church's day-to-day affairs and is the Children's Church coordinator. Aisha is always willing to assist in any capacity needed. She is a grounded and balanced woman of God who actively contributes wherever help is required.
Aisha completed her undergraduate degree at Fayetteville State University, majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. She also earned a Master’s in Educational Administration from the same institution. Aisha has been employed with the Cumberland County School System for over 22 years. Aisha is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Pastor Lamontico Melvin. They are blessed parents of two beautiful children, Lamontico “LJ” and Leila, and eagerly anticipate their first grandson's arrival.
Aisha enjoys spending quality time with her family and being adventurous. Above all, her primary purpose is to fulfill God's will. She is excited and looks forward to what the Lord has in store for Positive Reinforcement Ministries.
Laura Hardy, MBA Community Outreach Coordinator
Laura is a woman whose heart is filled with love for the Lord. Her dedication is evident in her kindness, generosity, and willingness to serve her community. She is always ready to lend a helping hand or offer encouragement. Laura's life is a testament to her deep devotion, as she strives to live out her faith in every aspect, inspiring those around her with her steadfast commitment and radiant spirit.
Laura is a native of Southeastern North Carolina. She grew up in Hope Mills, North Carolina, and graduated from South View High School. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Shaw University and a Master's in Business Administration from Strayer University. With 20 years of experience, Laura is a licensed insurance agent. She is also the founder of Hardy Group Consulting LLC, a minority woman-owned consulting firm.
Hardy Group Consulting LLC provides marketing, training, leadership, and project management for significant local initiatives. The firm establishes long-term client relationships by working collaboratively to build value and achieve goals. Hardy Group Consulting LLC offers solutions for every organizational need. With a vast network of subject matter experts, they can tailor strategies, devise plans, and deliver results effectively.
India Williams, MSW Prayer and Praise Team Coordinator
India Williams is a passionate Prayer Ministry leader and Praise Worship leader at Positive Reinforcement Ministries (PRM), where she plays a vital role in the spiritual growth of the church and community. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, India was raised by her parents, Coleta and Dennis Dickerson, in Saginaw, Michigan. Though her parents have transitioned, India continues to carry on the powerful legacy of love for God and faith that they instilled in her. Their influence and prayers remain foundational in her life, and she leads with the same anointing and commitment to God’s word that her parents exemplified.
India’s love for God matches her desire to serve others, particularly in her local community. She is deeply involved in giving back, finding joy in service, and uplifting those around her. Her interests reflect a vibrant personality; she enjoys spending time with her family, modeling, roller skating, cooking, sewing, writing poetry, performing spoken word, dancing, and nurturing plants. These diverse passions add to her well-rounded and creative approach to ministry and life.
India’s academic journey reflects her dedication to learning and helping others. She attended Voorhees University in Denmark, South Carolina, before earning a full academic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a Master’s in Social Work. Her education has equipped her with a deep understanding of people’s needs, which she utilizes in her ministry, especially counseling, intercessory prayer, and community engagement.
In 2014, India married Pastor La’Won Williams, and together, they are raising two God-fearing sons, Solomon and Eli, who were both saved at the young ages of 9 and 7, respectively. India and La’Won’s partnership in ministry is marked by a shared commitment to raising their children with strong values and a deep love for the Lord.
India is also one of the founding members of Positive Reinforcement Ministries, which was established under the leadership of Pastor Lamontico Melvin. Since its inception, PRM has flourished, and India’s leadership in the Prayer and Praise Worship Ministries has been essential in creating an environment of powerful worship and heartfelt prayer. Through her leadership, the church has cultivated a spirit of unity, prayer, and spiritual transformation as the congregation comes together to do God’s work.
India Williams’ life is a testament to the power of faith, dedication, and service. With her background in social work, leadership in ministry, and commitment to her family and community, she continues to inspire those around her. As a leader at PRM, she embodies the church’s mission of spreading God’s word and creating positive change in the lives of others, ensuring that God’s love and purpose reflect her life's mission.
SeQueena Townsend, MBA Hospitality Coordinator
SeQuenna Pennix is a proud first-generation college graduate and two-time alumna of Fayetteville State University, holding a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. She is the Program Coordinator for the Office for Adult Learners, Transfer, and Military Students under the Division of Academic Affairs. She is an adjunct faculty member for FSU’s Broadwell College of Business and Economics.
Deeply passionate about student success, SeQuenna views it as her purpose and strives to inspire students on their academic journeys. A highlight of her service at Fayetteville State University is the joy of advising the HBCU Strada Scholars. She is also the advisor for Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honor Society and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the Junior League of Fayetteville.
SeQuenna’s love for God and passion for serving others are at the heart of all she does. Praise and worship abide in her soul, fueling her mission to uplift and inspire those around her.
Beyond her professional roles, SeQuenna is the proud mother of three exceptional children. She also enjoys being a Line Dance Instructor, bringing people together through music and movement.
La'Won Williams Assistant Pastor
La’Won Williams, born on March 3, 1981, in Okinawa, Japan, to Jake and Debbie Williams, has lived a life marked by faith, service, and dedication to personal growth. Although born overseas, La’Won was raised in Columbia, South Carolina, before moving to Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 2000. His transition to Fayetteville would lay the foundation for both his academic and spiritual journey.
La’Won attended Fayetteville State University, where he pursued his passion for technology and graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. During his college years, La’Won’s commitment to learning was matched by his growing interest in faith, an interest that would shape his future path.
In 2014, La’Won married India Williams, and together they have built a loving family. They are proud parents to two intelligent sons, Solomon and Eli Williams, who inspire La’Won to continuously strive to lead by example and instill strong values in the next generation.
La’Won’s spiritual journey took a significant turn when he became involved with Jesus World Outreach Center, Inc. He was an active member of the church community until 2019, where he gained foundational experience in ministry and leadership. This period of growth prepared him for a new chapter in his faith life.
In 2019, La’Won became one of the founding members of Positive Reinforcement Ministries (PRM), a vibrant church dedicated to spreading God’s word and creating lasting change in the community. Under the leadership of Pastor Lamontico Melvin, PRM has flourished, and La’Won has played an integral role in supporting the church’s mission as Assistant Pastor. His deep passion for ministry and service has helped cultivate an environment where individuals can grow spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
At PRM, La’Won’s leadership is defined by his dedication to teaching, empowering others, and living out the principles of faith in everyday life. His commitment to positively impacting both the church and the community has made him a respected figure in the ministry, and the church continues to thrive as it faithfully carries out God’s word.
Through his work in ministry, his devotion to his family, and his ongoing commitment to personal and spiritual growth, La’Won Williams exemplifies the values of faith, service, and leadership. His life inspires those around him as he fosters a thriving church and a legacy of positive change for future generations.
